Why am I not in school?

Like all children, this young MahMeri girl has a right to an education. The MahMeri tribe is one of 18 indigenous tribes in Peninsular Malaysia. They number around 3,000 and can be found living only in the coast of Selangor in the west coast of Malaysia. They have a generations old history, infused with rich culture and tradition.

The World We Want
Young people in Malaysia take photos to illustrate what makes them happy, and what makes them sad about their world. Humanitarian photographer Giacomo Pirozzi led a 1-week workshop for 20 youth in 2014.
